My mother got tickets to see The Late Show with David Letterman on the one day (next Tuesday) it’s guaranteed to be preempted for most of the night for news coverage. I’m still really happy for her.
Speaking of that, next week when I go to vote I find it incredible that I only have to walk two blocks to my polling place. That beats the four blocks I had to walk in 2004.
Three Panel Soul is one of the few webcomics I read, but their RSS feed doesn’t include the rants they post. I wrote my own to scrape their rants.
The This American Life season one DVD is really, really bare. One episode’s worth of commentary and a photo gallery are the only extras (although it was $16 when I got it). I know they filmed extra footage, some of it was posted to YouTube, so I was hoping for a behind the scenes something or other and was sorely disappointed.
Radio Lab is probably the closest we can come to the best thing ever on the radio that isn’t This American Life (although in some ways it’s even better). Go listen to an episode right now.
